All of today’s competitors performed at one of the Spotlight Concerts at Sandbach Concert Series during 2018 and were short-listed by the main concert artists and artistic directors. The standard of young players at the Spotlight Concerts is consistently high and as such all our young players are to be applauded for their commitment to studying music. All of the finalists today will receive a goody bag and finalist certificate. Prizes are awarded as music bursaries which can be used as best suits each prize winner, whether it’s toward instrument costs, lessons or sheet music!

The Seniors prizes are; 1st prize Young Musician of the Year Trophy & £100 bursary sponsored by Crewe Male Voice Choir, 2nd prize £50 bursary, 3rd prize £25 bursary.

The Juniors will not be competing for a 1st prize but will each receive a certificate and £10 bursary prize.

The Bramwell Tovey Trophy and £25 bursary is awarded to the player of special merit.

With special thanks to our accompanist Fenella Haworth-Head.

Our Adjudicators today are Joy Naylor & Sophie Rosa.
