Amy Turk is a multi-genre harpist, composer, arranger and session artist from the UK. With special interests in percussion, video game and film scores, and popular music of all styles, Amy has created a unique career path through her presence online, pioneering compositions and arrangements for solo harp and ensembles. For over a decade Amy’s fascination with percussion has led her to push the boundaries of the harp’s potential, following in the footsteps of modern acoustic guitarists like Andy Mckee and Jon Gomm. Using her percussion system, she has developed an approach which allows her to recreate the sound of an entire band on the harp, utilising the classic sounds of a drum set in addition to a spectrum of new and established extended techniques. Using YouTube as her main platform Amy has created a worldwide audience for her music, responding to the demand for pop, rock, film and video game arrangements, and spearheading the transformation of the harp into a percussive instrument with her original compositions. As an arranger she has pushed to present the harp in as many genres as possible, with her most popular uploads spanning a full range of styles from the Disney Renaissance, The Legend of Zelda series, pop and rock classics such as Toto’s Africa and Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, and her rendition of J.S. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565, which in addition to its 10M views on YouTube, has received radio play and online promotion from BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM, and featured in the Oscar-nominated film Triangle of Sadness in 2022. Amy’s work goes out first to her generous supporters on Patreon, before making its way to Spotify, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Her debut EP, Syzygy, featuring three original songs in her signature percussive style, is out now.
Lauren Scott is a sought-after freelance harpist with more than three decades of orchestral experience. She regularly freelances with major orchestras and has played principal harp with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, Northern Chamber Orchestra and the Hallé. She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, in West End shows, recordings, and radio and television broadcasts. She reimagines the lever harp through distinctive original compositions and chamber collaborations. Since 2018 she has published four volumes of lever harp music, many of which appear on ABRSM, Trinity and AMEB syllabuses. She has received a PRS Foundation Women Make Music grant and an Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice award, and was composer-in-residence with Harps North West. Her music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Magic Classical FM and featured on BBC Introducing and Apple Music playlists. Her Avie Records albums Beyond the Horizon, Sea of Stars (5-star BBC Music Magazine review; Magic Classical FM Album of the Week) and Night Lotus (2025) have been widely acclaimed.
Lauren and Amy were recently invited to perform individually and together at the World Harp Congress in Canada this summer, and their debut duo album, Harp Menagerie, will be released this October.
