Concert Report: September 2011

Our September concert highlighted Rosa Campos Duo, featuring Co-Principal Clarinettist of the Hallé Orchestra, Rosa Campos Fernandez on Clarinet, and Taiwanese-based Pei-Chun Liao on Piano.

The programme consisted of:

  • Self-Parafrasis- Xavier Montsalvatge
  • Sonata Number 1 in F minor- Brahms
  • Sonatina- Horovitz Primer
  • Solo de Concierto- Antonio Romero

We were also treated to a Spotlight Concert by local clarinettists, and an art exhibition from St Luke's Hospice.


Spotlight Concert musicians together with Sandbach School's Head of Music, John Barber, accompanist Kevin Birch, Deputy Mayor of Cheshire East Deputy Mayor, Councillor George Walton, and Sandbach Town Council Mayor, Councillor Dennis Robinson.

 

We also tried out our new "Unistage", bringing the performers closer to the audience.
